CollectionSpace is pleased to announce the release of CollectionSpace Version 4.2. Highlights of the release include: an upgrade to the latest version of Nuxeo, the enterprise content management framework that serves as one of CollectionSpace's major underpinnings; the implementation of our first community of practice profile supporting fine and contemporary art collections; and the inclusion of a new procedure in support of exhibition planning, contributed by the Hearst Museum of Anthropology. The CollectionSpace Fine and Contemporary Art Profile<https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/collectionspace/Fine+and+Contemporary+Art+Profile> is based on work done by the Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery, Denmark) and Walker Art Center as part of their CollectionSpace implementations. The extension sets map to the core fields recommended by the Categories for the Description for Works of Art (CDWA) standard produced by the Getty Research Institute, and the DOCAM documentation model.
