CollectionSpace v4.3 Update

RM

Tue, Nov 24, 2015 1:43 AM

The release date for CollectionSpace v4.3, originally scheduled for December 11, 2015, has been moved into early next year.  The program staff will be working with the community and partners over the next few weeks to determine a new release date.  Details of the v4.3 release can be found here: https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/collectionspace/Release+4.3

Recent leadership and staff changes at LYRASIS and CollectionSpace impacted the development schedule and was one cause for the delay.  Another was our decision to refocus our attention on growing CollectionSpace membership, growing the CollectionSpace Service Provider community, and supporting the hosting of CollectionSpace at LYRASIS.

To ensure we reach our new v4.3 release date, we're adding development resources to the effort.  In addition to the ongoing efforts of existing CollectionSpace service providers, we'll also be working with the Research IT staff at UC Berkeley starting December 1, 2015.

Sincerely,

Richard Millet
CollectionSpace Technical Lead
