CSpace Community:

We are delighted to announce the release of CollectionSpace v5.1https://wiki.collectionspace.org/display/collectionspace/Release+5.1. This release includes a number of important bug fixes, a new procedure for tracking Use of Collections, an integration with the OpenSeadragonhttps://openseadragon.github.io/ viewer for image pan/zoom, and infrastructure improvements to support expanded use of Elasticsearch for search, reporting, and the forthcoming public browser.

Development work on v5.2 has already begun - look out in April for updated versions of the Local History and Bonsai Garden profiles, and after that some great improvements to search, reporting, and documentation. We're also looking forward to the launch of the pilot version of the CollectionSpace public browser, brought to you by the Material Order consortium, followed by the release of our first production version of the browser.

As always, none of this incredible work would be possible without the support and contributions of our wonderful members and community. Thank you all for your hard work.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about the release.

Best regards,
Megan
