CollectionSpace Community -

We are ready to begin the Quality Assurance testing process for v7.2, and as always, community participation in the QA process is critical.

The 7.2 release features some backend technology updates that you will not see directly, along with some exciting new functionality. There are a trio of new chronology-based authorities, a new place authority for archaeology sites, a few new object record fields, some new workflow reports, and some fixes to previously available reports and noted bugs.

To start testing, visit the testing tasks page (link below) and assign yourself a task by entering your name into the Tester column and an X into the In-progress column. Add another X to the Complete column when you're done. New to QA testing? Grab a one of the primary or secondary tab tests - these are the simplest tests and will get you familiar with the process. Please run the test on latest version of the Browser specified in column B, and use the Profile specified in Column C. The links to the QA sites for each profile are at the top of the sheet. Test notes for the 7.2 release have been added to plans in red to ensure that new fields and features are not missed during QA testing. Note that I'm still working on test plans for a few of the tasks, but I wanted to get this out to the community as soon as possible.

Found a bug? You can enter a description of your issue right in the spreadsheet Test Result Notes column.

New to QA? Watch our short orientation video https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/403049797.

Thanks in advance for your help as a QA tester, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Jessi
