CollectionSpace Community,

Please join us in welcoming Chad Nelson as CollectionSpace Developer!

Chad will be working with all of us to realize a longstanding goal of packaging our community of practice schema extension sets, starting with those already defined and vetted for Variable Media and Fine/Contemporary Arts, so that they can more easily serve as a starting point for new deployers and service providers.  In addition, Chad will be responsible for release management and QA responsibilities, participate on the technical working group, and collaborate with many of you.

Chad’s experience as a full stack developer with an emphasis in data-driven solutions in the cultural heritage sector, including his most recent efforts at LYRASIS working with deployers of Islandora, and prior to that, as a Web Services Developer at Georgia State University, along with his enthusiasm and passion for open source software, will serve him well as he dives into our world of collections management and museums. Chad holds a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and English from Northeastern Illinois University, and a Masters of Library and Information Studies from University College London.  He is based in Philadelphia.

We are fortunate to have attracted such a creative developer to our team!

Angela, Megan, and Richard
